  • Emergicare offers on-site X-rays, blood work, strep/flu/COVID/RSV tests, physicals (including sports, DOT/CDL, non-CDL, college, and school bus), TB screenings and TB tests (PPD), and various occupational services such as drug screenings and breath alcohol testing.

  • Emergicare treats patients of all age groups. Generally, we can see pediatric patients for minor illnesses and injuries. On rare occasions, we may have adult nurse practitioners on staff who are not able to see pediatric patients. Feel free to call the clinic with any questions.

  • Choose to visit urgent care for illnesses and injuries that are non-life-threatening but still require prompt attention. For life-threatening conditions, such as severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, stroke symptoms, or major trauma, it is crucial to go to the Emergency Department or call 911.

  • Yes, if your insurance does not participate with us or if you are self-pay, we expect payment in full on the day of service.

  • Yes, we participate with most commercial insurances, including Anthem (BCBS), TRICARE, Cigna, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Sentara. For Medicaid, we accept Sentara, Aetna Better Health, and United Healthcare. We also accept all Medicare plans.

    Currently, these insurance plans do not participate with us: Anthem Medicaid, Molina Medicaid, Out-of-State Medicaid(s) and Cigna (EPO) Products.
